I finally took some time to make some stuff using the new Fresh Cuts stamp set and note cards. I really like how quick they are to put together. Let me know what you think.

This first card has no stamping. I used some paper from an older Stampin Up kit (before I joined and I don’t know the name right off). I also used rub ons from SU.

My second card … stamped in Rose Red and the saying in Pumpkin Pie. Used Wild Wasabi for the background of the flower. Then used the felt flower fusions from SU along with a pewter brad.

Third card … stamped in Wild Wasabi. Used Pumpkin Pie for the background of the flower. Then used the felt flower fusions from SU along with a pewter brad. Added the scalloped border using Fiskar scissors.

Finally the fourth card … stamped in Old Olive. Used Rose Red for the background of the flower. Then used the same felt flower fusions from SU along with a pewter brad. Added the scalloped border using Fiskar scissors.

As a side note … I had thought the Flower Fusions were Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, and Wild Wasabi… when in reality I think it is Old Olive. Ooops… my bad. Guess that is what happens when I’m still getting accustomed to new colors and new names. I’ll get there, I promise!

I am only wanting to sell this as a set. I checked each of them out and they all work quite well. Full of life. I have kept them stored horizontally and both sides work very well. The older style markers were bought one month before the newer style came out and they are very juicy to color in with.

Well, after making up Ben’s birthday invites, I had a leftover tempting turquoise card, already scored for a gate fold card … so I made this using another new set from Gina K.  … it is called “Many Happy Re-turns” and I LOVE this set !

My son will soon be turning five years old. I can hardly believe it. Still seems like yesterday that I brought him home from the hospital.

We are going to have a little party for him … he’s looking forward to it. We’re going to celebrate it on May 31st since his actual birthday falls on a Wednesday this year (June 4th). Thought I’d show you the invite I made…

It’s a gatefold card… not the easiest for me to take a picture of !  The red circle says “Time to Celebrate” and is from Gina K’s (actually Melanie’s) new set “Jumping for Joy”. I don’t even understand this. It seems I start out so well posting every day at the beginning of the month and then I just disappear. Sorry everyone.

I’ve been having kidney stone issues. Yeah I bet you were all dying to hear about that. Well suffice it to say, I’m still in pain but I’ll leave details out. I just need something to take this away! LOL.

Other than that, we’ve been schooling; working ’round the house; and I’ve been working on projects. I need to get my camera out and take some pics this weekend. I also need to clean my messy abode. Really. It’s a disaster!

Then there is the fact that I’m struggling with my behaviour towards my neighbors. SOMEONE (ie. kids) are getting into our trash cans and dumping them. GRRR… and double GRRR. I know who it is. I just haven’t caught them yet. However, I don’t want to deal with it right now so I have moved our cans into the garage. And no, it cannot be animals because the big cans are being turned over (the ones on wheels that the trash people provide us with). At any rate, it’s frustrating. I was out there this evening hosing down my driveway from the grime and secretly wishing the kids would show themselves so I could spray them with cold water. Yah, I’m mean huh? LOL.

Anyways, that’s about all that is going on here. I hope to post more soon. Tootles
