*~* Grace Blessings *~*

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. ~ Colossians 3:16-17

A little TMI for any guys visiting… but since quite a few people asked me via my groups, I thought I’d include a little info on PCOS for anyone that may want to know.

Here is the definition…
Polycystic (pah-lee-SIS-tik) ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a health problem that can affect a woman’s menstrual cycle, ability to have children, hormones, heart, blood vessels, and appearance.
What are the symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)?
Not all women with PCOS share the same symptoms. These are some of the symptoms of PCOS:

infrequent menstrual periods, no menstrual periods, and/or irregular bleeding
infertility (not able to get pregnant) because of not ovulating
increased hair growth on the face, chest, stomach, back, thumbs, or toes—a condition called hirsutism (HER-suh-tiz-um)
ovarian cysts
acne, oily skin, or dandruff
weight gain or obesity, usually carrying extra weight around the waist
insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes
high cholesterol
high blood pressure
male-pattern baldness or thinning hair
patches of thickened and dark brown or black skin on the neck, arms, breasts, or thighs
skin tags, or tiny excess flaps of skin in the armpits or neck area
pelvic pain
anxiety or depression due to appearance and/or infertility
sleep apnea—excessive snoring and times when breathing stops while asleep
They say 1 in 10 women have it and some say it is closer to 1 in 7… and half of those that have it do not realize it and their doctors do not diagnose it. It puts those of us that have it at a much higher risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, strokes, endometrial cancer, miscarriages, and raises our risks for all other cancers. It is not curable; they can however treat certain aspects (often requiring several doctors). And they currently do not have much research going into this disease.
Hope this helps with a little understanding of it :)

Mold Me

Another layout for a challenge at Faith Sisters.

Create a layout of a moment or time that you or someone you know has been tested and tried or has been through the fire. Share if you could, how your perseverance has paid off and how the Lord has used your experience to be a demonstration of God’s power that was at work within you. Or if you are going through a difficult trial at the moment, you can create a layout acknowledging that you are this jar of clay being molded and transformed through the fire and to declare that power in Christ that is within you.

Journaling :
A favorite verse in Isaiah for me : “But now, O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. (Is 64:8) There are so many times in my life where I have felt God’s hands on me, felt Him molding me. Sometimes it hurts; sometimes it even burns. I find myself crying out to Him begging Him to take the pains away, to fix the problems. However, there has never been a time where He was not there for me. His love is so strong, so fierce, that nothing I endure will ever take His love from me. I know that when I suffer, it is to bring Glory to God so I continue to praise Him and just rest in the knowledge and the comfort of His loving hands.

Many posts coming…

I’m gonna play a little catch up here. I have good intentions, just never seem to be able to keep up with stuff. Not apologizing though… life happens, lol. And besides, I doubt that many read my blog anyways… he he.

Challenge that was over at Faith Sisters

What is your favorite Bible story and why? When did you learn of this story and how has it made an impact on your life.

This is also something you could ask your child and document their thoughts at an early age. Imaging them reading this when they are grown.

Here is mine :

Journaling :
The bible is full of some absolutely wonderful stories. So many that I have grown to love from when I was a small child in Sunday School.
One of my most favorites is the story of Isaiah in Chapter 6. Isaiah beholds the Lord sitting on His throne… and above are the Seraphim, and they are singing “Holy Holy Holy is the Lord of hosts; The Whole earth is full of His glory!” What an absolutely awesome sight Isaiah was able to see. And his reaction? “Woe is me for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips; And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts.”
Then a seraphim flies to him and touches his mouth with a live coal saying his iniquity is taken away and his sins purged.
However, the part that always gets me is this… When the voice of the Lord says “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then Isaiah answers “Here I am! Send me!” WOW !!!
I cannot imagine what it would be like to see the Lord face to face. I cannot comprehend the fullness of His glory. I am not even sure I can fully understand how Isaiah could open his mouth and speak like this to the Lord. I imagine that if it had been me, I’d have been silent & afraid. Yet I admire Isaiah here and his desire to do the Lord’s will. This story always remains in my heart as a reminder that God will use us and we just need to be ready & willing.
